The United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), also known as the Global Goals, are a universal call to action to end poverty, protect the planet and ensure that all people enjoy peace and prosperity. There are 17 SDGs, which are integrated and indivisible and balance the three dimensions of sustainable development: economic, social and environmental.

we'll be focusing on goal number 14:

LIFE BELOW WATER

We're exploring the deep blue sea.

GROUP DISCUSSION

How Does Light Work in the Ocean?

On land, sunlight illuminates a world that’s bright and bursting with color.

But in the ocean, light and color diminish as the water gets deeper. Take a look at what happens to light as it moves through the water, and how marine organisms have adapted.

Using Light in the Ocean as Inspiration,

What Could We Make?

Your browser does not support the video tag.

We could be inspired by natural phenomena like light and water,

or by deep sea creatures whose forms, patterns, or behavior might interest us.

We could be literal,

but it's more interesting to abstract ideas

How are we doing it?
